Emotional Pete breaks down on TV

Dedicated father Peter Andre broke down in tears during a live TV interview yesterday afternoon as he declared: "No one is going to take my kids away from me."

The Aussie singer appeared on Sky news only hours after finding out that his ex-wife Katie Price got married to lover Alex Reid in Las Vegas.

Putting on a brave front, the Aussie singer lost control over his emotions when interviewer Kay Burley quizzed him on what would happen if the new Mr Price wanted to adopt Harvey - Jordan's son with footballer Dwight Yorke -  and his two biological children, Junior and Princess.

The 36-year-old snapped immediately: "No one is going to take my kids away from me. Nobody. Nobody. I will fight to death for that."

Struggling not to break down in tears, Pete added "I will die for those children", before asking for the interview to be stopped.

With his head bowed to hide his face, he asked: "I don't want to talk about this. I'm sorry, can we end this now?"

Pete was giving interviews yesterday to promote his new record, but with his infamous ex getting hitched just a day earlier, most of the journalists focused on the surprise wedding.

Concerned fans yesterday contacted the channel to find out if the singer was okay, but they were reassured by Kay that the doting dad was 'fine'.

Awww, Pete... Do you think the question about the adoption was relevant or cruel?

Poor Pete - he must be beside himself with the idea of those two self indulgent, all about me people bringing up his kids. Give the kids to him and leave them to themsleves

Definately a very insensitive thing to ask... And yes Pete should get custody of the kids with Jordan having visitation rights. They'll have a far more grounded and stable upbringing with him and his extended family - Just my opinion!

Anyone who watched the full interview will know that this is not how it happened. He actually got upset about Dwight Yorke's comments about him adopting Harvey. Get your facts straight Closer!!!! The interviewer was well out of order and should work for the News of The World if that is how she wants to do interviews. I watch the news for facts, NOT to watch celebrities being fed to the wolves.

I thought the interview was a disgrace and Kay Burley and Sky should be ashamed of themselves. Pete is an excellent father and should have sole custody of the children. I wouldn't let his ex-wife or her latest buffoon look after a rat!

utterly disgusting how they could even question how he would feel about alex adopting was beyond idiotic as he is a constant in those childrens lives and anyone can see how much he adores them sky and kay were both totally insensitive

Don't understand why she even asked him about Alex Reid adopting his children like he tried to adopt Harvey. Totally different circumstances. Dwight Yorke can probably count on one hand the number of times he has actually saw Harvey-any idiot can make a baby but it takes a real man to be a dad-especially when the child isn't his biologically! It's not like Pete got Jordan pregnant and left her, taking nothing to do with the kids. He's been a real dad so the situations are completely different. Kay Burley was completely disrespectful, I don't care if she's being told what to say. She was sat right there and saw she was upsetting him-she should have stopped!

Kay Burley was definitely out of order asking such a question, the insensitive bitch!! Everyone knows how Pete loves his kids and Harvey too more than anything, he's been a nuturing, caring dad for Harvey (something Alex won't be) and his own kids!! Time to stop the farce Pete, go for full custody with Jordan getting visitation only, after all she plans on getting pregnant again now - she doesn't even spend time with the kids she's got, it's either the nanny or Pete 24/7!! Just because she gave birth doesn't mean she'll be given automatic custody if he goes for it, not in this day and age where Judges accept mummy isn't always the best choice!!

By the way folks I'm not sure if Alex can legally adopt Pete's kids if Pete objects since he is the father and still alive and in their lives!! He has rights too!! I have a feeling Kay Burley ( I didn't see it by the way) was refering to Alex adopting Harvey as he has done, but if Pete's already adopted him Alex can't too, it would be farcical!!! Or did Dwight Yorke stop Pete adopting Harvey ?
