Jordan: 'I look like an elephant'

After branding pictures of herself “disgusting,” Jordan has vowed to stick to an extreme juicing diet to lose 7lbs in just 10 days.

The former glamour model complained to friends that the blue gown she wore to Elton John’s Oscars bash last week made her look “like an elephant.” Now she’s determined to slim down her already tiny size 8 figure, despite her family’s fears.

“She was horrified when she saw the Oscars pictures of her wearing that blue backless dress, while everyone else looked sophisticated,” says a source.

And the pal claims Jordan, 31, even lashed out at her make-up artist Gary Cockerill, blaming him for the dress choice.

“Gary was in LA with her to style her for the parties, but she picked that particular dress herself,” says the pal. “The next day she flew off the handle at Gary, telling him it was his fault. Then she blamed how bloated she looked on all the fast food she’d been eating in LA.

“She hated how big she looked compared to all the size zero actresses in LA, she kept saying: ‘I look disgusting.’”

Jordan, 5ft 6, who currently weighs 8.5st, says her ideal weight is 7.5st, which would give her a BMI of 16.9, well below the healthy range.

And the mum of three – who is desperate to get pregnant by new hubby Alex Reid – is so determined to kick-start her weight loss she’s already started a juicing diet and is running daily now she’s back in the UK.

“She’s training for the London Marathon in April and that bulked her up last year, so she wants to drop half a stone as fast as she can. It’s liquids only for at least a week,” says the pal.

But celebrity fitness expert Nicki Waterman warns that someone of Jordan’s size should not be following such an extreme diet.

“Liquid fasts like this are fine for an occasional detox, but only for one or two days – not 10 in a row,” says Nicki.

“Jordan’s so slim that she shouldn’t be doing something so extreme. Not only is this a bad idea if she’s trying to conceive, but it could cause her health problems in the long term.

“Over time the body burns muscle instead of fat, slowing the metabolism and actually causing weight gain, and prolonged use of this type of diet can cause kidney and lung damage.”

And Jordan’s mum Amy is also worried about her daughter’s attitude to her figure, especially as the model has told friends she’s considering yet more plastic surgery.

A pal reveals: “Amy says Katie has a new insecurity over her body every day and has been talking about
her nose, lips and sixth boob job since being in LA.”

Jordan – real name Katie Price – even told pals that she may consider getting ribs removed to shrink her already-tiny waist and is said to have consulted her regular plastic surgeon about having liposuction.

A pal says: “The surgeon said it would be ridiculous to consider lipo or any procedures if she’s planning on getting pregnant.”

And Jordan even has Alex, 34, on a strict weight-loss plan.

He said recently: “Kate and I are on a major diet and fitness drive... being so healthy will hopefully help us conceive baby Reid in the next few months!”
