Distraught Gav: Is Charl in love again?

Desperate to win back his ex-fiancée, Gavin Henson has been ringing Charlotte Church’s friends for updates on her new man.


The rugby star, 28, has been pleading to know how Charlotte really feels about her long-term pal Jonathan Powell as the pair grow closer. But in their efforts to protect Gav’s feelings, their mutual friends have refused to discuss the star’s relationship.


Our source says: “They’ve just told him it’s best he doesn’t hear about what’s going on at the moment. It’s sad to see him upset, but Charl says Gav didn’t make her feel special, whereas Jonathan really looks after her.”

Charlotte, 24, has already told pals that singer/songwriter Jonathan, 23, could be The One. And despite trying to keep their romance under wraps, last week they were spotted looking happy and relaxed together at the Green Man Festival in Wales. Their appearance has prompted speculation that Charlotte – who split from Gavin in May just six weeks after their engagement – could be about to go public with Jonathan. But a pal says: “She doesn’t want to broadcast the relationship yet – she doesn’t want to jinx it.”


Meanwhile Gavin – who has two children with Charlotte, Ruby, two, and Dexter 20 months – is hoping his upcoming appearance on Strictly Come Dancing will show Charl his romantic side and win her back. But pals say it’s unlikely to stop her from moving on.


“She and Johnny have so much more in common than her and Gavin,” a pal says. “She’s even said she may move him into her home, but her friends have told her not to rush things.”

I know it's hard to judge anyone else's relationship, but from an outsider's point of view it looks like Gavin Henson is reaping what he has sewn...he had the opportunity to have a happy settled life with Charlotte and his kids but he was a big immature baby who blew his chances by acting like a prat... he treated her like dirt and she decided she didn't deserve it..

LindaDalton 100% right - let's hope Charlotte is getting the loving she so deserves!! She grew up after having the kids and all he wanted to do was party, and in reality he's just jealous, if she took him back he'd soon be sitting back on his backside letting her get on with their family and he'd be out partying again!! He treated her as if she didn't deserve to walk in his footsteps or beside him, mocking her weight, her singing career and everything about her when all he is, is a rugby player whose career won't last anywhere as long as hers!! I hope he is jealous, he deserves to be!!

thats quite an assumption to make about gavin there isnt any evidence that he was like that, she seems like the type of person who can give as much as she gets!

sugar sweet You don't think him being banned from 60 clubs and bars in Cardiff for his behaviour makes him a party boy? You don't think the first thing he did after he and Charlotte split up by going on a boys only party holiday makes it seem like he was sticking the finger up and saying so what I can go back to partying with the boys? His comments to Charlotte about her weight, not just to her but to others, laughing at her after she gave birth were vicious! I have no doubt Charl is no sweetie or walkover, or that she can fight back, but even so he made her feel like crap and it showed in every photo taken!!

where did you get the info that hes banned from 60 clubs? he was just being a typical guy and pretending that he didnt care that charlotte finished with him. i just think this has come out of nowhere, ive never seen any articles or anything that said hes mocked her weight etc etc only that he helped her get back in shape because hes a sportsman.

sugar sweet It was a newspaper story and also in closer that he had been banned from all of these clubs in Cardiff and Charl was pissed off with him big time, telling him to grow up!! It was a big story because he was with his rugby pals when he caused so much trouble they banned him, that's when it came out he was also banned from 60 clubs! This was last year I think if not a bit before. There have also been masses of articles and stories in mags about the way he mocked her for being fat, for not losing her weight soon enough after first baby and second, saying that he told her she disgusted him and that he laughed at her music career. He wanted the kids but he didn't want to be tied down. He did tell her he'd help her lose her weight using his sportsman expertise he just complained then when he said (according to this site and others) she'd lost too much weight!! It's not something that's happened since he split from Charl!
