It's over! Cheryl granted quickie divorce!

Cheryl Cole's four-year marriage to love-rat husband Ashley Cole was dissolved in less than 60 seconds in court today.

Cheryl was granted the quickie divorce due to the footballer's 'unreasonable behaviour' after he was accused of cheating on her with a number of different women.

According to reports, the divorce papers stated that Cole was still behaving unreasonable now, suggesting the former couple may be having trouble to split their joint assets.

Neither Cheryl nor Ashley were present at court this morning when their marital union was legally dissolved, but a source claims that the Girls Aloud singer would be 'watching things very closely' from Los Angeles.

The insider said: 'She just wants to move on with her life and getting the divorce done will end a very painful chapter. It must not be forgotten that Cheryl didn't ask for this. The last thing she expected was to be a divorcee at 27.'

Now there is a six week 'cooling-off' period before the decree absolute will officially end their marriage.

Chery is said to be relieved that her lawyers have achieved a 'divorce with dignity' and feels like a 'massive weight' has been lifted off her shoulders.

Having trouble splitting their joint assets lol?!! Since he earned far more than her throughout and this isn't LA where 50/50 is a done deal I'll bet they are having trouble!! They have no kids, he doesn't have to maintain her lifestyle since she's capable of paying her own way, guess it's just down to properties then and the pouts of I want that one, no you can't I want it lol!!! Celeb divorces are always like no other lol!!
BTW Don't condone Ashley's cheating, but when she went on to stay and try to save the marriage she knew it could happen again, her endless taunts in interviews about it really showed the death knell was on the relationship! She should have cut free then, instead she used his cheating to hit him over the head with every time she opened her mouth and there was no way of keeping that marriage alive!! He may have cheated but if you look back at the stories over the past few years you'll see she had a part to play in the downfall of the marriage!! O.k, when you bite me please be gentle hm lol?!!!

I am so glad they are finally divorced... Now its all over they can get on with thier own lives and Cheryl can stop playing "the victim". I totally agree with you Emerald, she did have a part to play in the downfall of thier relationship. She put her career before her marriage.

I agree as well actually. He behaved like a total pratt without a doubt, but no one knows what goes on behind clsed doors. I like her, but I don't buy into the butter wouldn't melt
pretty little doll routine. I'm sure she's not as pefect as she
looks, no one is. Also I save my sympathy for people who divorce, and have nothing to split, just a massive mortgage
that neither can afford on their own, therefore not being able
to keep a roof over their kids heads, thats stress.
