Chris Brown has shocked fans by unveiling a tattoo of what appears to be a beaten woman on his neck.
The 23-year-old singer revealed the new inking during an event in Las Vegas earlier this month, but sources close to Chris insist that it has nothing to do with Rihanna, and the similarities are merely coincidental.
The design bears a stark resemblance to the shocking picture that emerged of the We Found Love singer after Brown assaulted her in 2009, but a source said: “It’s a random woman.”
“It’s a random woman.”
Rihanna also revealed a new tattoo with significant meaning this week, a tribute to her late Grandma Dolly. The design, which spans her entire ribcage, is of the Egyptian Godess Isis.
"Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love" said the singer, who recently showcased a dramatic new pixie hairstyle.
'I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help.'
The 24-year-old star's grandmother, Clara Braithwaite, lost her fight against cancer in July this year.
Rihanna and Chris Brown sparked rumours that they were rekindling their romance this week, after they were seen kissing and hugging at the VMAs.
Rihanna recently opened up about her complicated feelings for her ex to Oprah Winfrey, calling him 'the love of my life' during an interview last month.
She confirmed they still have a 'very close friendship' and added she felt sympathy for him in the wake of the infamous violent attack that left her in hospital.
She explained: 'I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help.'
'The main thing for me is that he is at peace,' she continued. 'I’m not at peace if he is unhappy or he is still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds peace.'
