Where do you shop for your food ?

I don't favour one particular supermarket. I often go to the corner shop near my home in Islington, north London, as it sells everything.

What are your vices?

Chocolate - especially Cadbury's Dairy Milk Buttons. It probably dates back to my childhood when they were given to me as a special treat.

Is there anything you don't eat?

Because I'm pregnant, I'm not eating soft or blue cheeses, or shellfish. When I was on honeymoon in the Seychelles last September, my husband Derek was eating lobster, crab and prawns - all the food I love! But I couldn't eat any of it because I was in the early stages of my pregnancy.

Tell us about your diet

I'll start the day with a bowl of muesli and semi-skimmed milk. As I start work very early, my body clock gets out of sync and I often crave instant fixes, but I try not to snack on junk food. Lunch is often salad with ham or lean meat, followed by fresh fruit. I'll have a light dinner, usually chicken with a jacket potato and vegetables. I do eat little bits of chocolate throughout the day though.

What's your favourite food?

When it's cold outside, I crave hot, spicy food. If I have time, I make a chilli with lean mince, tomatoes, kidney beans, chillis and rice. I love cheesecake for dessert, but that will have to wait until I have the baby now.

And to drink?

I can't drink alcohol now I'm pregnant, but my favourite tipple was lager. Now I'll have tomato juice, mineral water or fruit juice. I'm also a big tea drinker - English Breakfast with milk.

Nutritionist Kate Cook says:

"Jayne's philosophy of eating a big breakfast, light lunch and even lighter dinner is really sensible, and shopping only when she needs to ensures her food is as fresh as possible. Her fridge has a good mix of fruit and veg, plus lots of salmon and mackerel. These are full of essential omega-3 fats - great for keeping her in top shape. Her healthy diet means the odd piece of chocolate won't do her any harm at all."
