Peter Andre: ‘Emily will make a brilliant mum’

As the nation celebrates the arrival of a Royal baby boy, Peter Andre celebrates his own baby joy with 23 year-old girlfriend Emily MacDonagh.

The 40 year-old singer has confirmed that he and budding Doctor Emily are expecting their first child.

Peter revealed in his magazine column that he is ‘thrilled’ at the news, writing that ‘Emily will make a brilliant mum.’

‘We were going to keep this to ourselves a little bit longer, but as everyone’s been asking I am very happy to tell you that Emily and I are having a baby, and we are over the moon. Emily will make a brilliant mum’, he wrote.

What impresses me the absolute most is the way she is with the kids

Peter’s confirmation comes after a source revealed the news to a UK newspaper yesterday.

In an accompanying interview, Pete – already father to Princess and Junior from his marriage to Katie Price - says he wants six children.

He has said previously how impressed he has been with the way Emily is with his son and daughter.

Speaking on his reality TV show Peter Andre: My Life, he said ‘What impresses me the absolute most is the way she is with the kids.’

Rumours first circulated that Emily may be pregnant, when Peter was seen holding her stomach lovingly at an event in June.

Meanwhile, Peter’s ex-wife Katie - who is due to give birth to her fourth child and first with husband Kieran Hayler, has said she is ‘genuinely’ pleased for the couple.

'Genuine congratulations to Pete and Emily and I hope they are very happy – kids excited xxx', she wrote on Twitter.
