Perhaps affected by the increasing images of celebrity mums bouncing back into shape soon after their birth, the mums are opting for the £10,000 'two-in-one' tummy tuck and breast lift package.
Harley Street cosmetic surgeon Ragoowansi said the number of middle-class women coming to him for ‘yummy mummy tummy tucks’ has doubled in the last five years.
Speaking at the the annual conference of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, he explained:
‘After pregnancy, women want to tighten up those bits that tend to go a bit saggy. That is perfectly natural.’
But surgeons advise new mums considering surgery to wait at least nine months before undergoing surgery.
They explained that hormone fluctuations can lead to rushed decisions and breast surgery can make it difficult to breastfeed.
Mr Ragoowansi also warned: ‘If you have the surgery and then have another child the chances are you will need to have it done again.
‘It is best to wait until after you have had all the children you want and then after nine months come to a surgeon.’

However there has been a backlash against these revelations, with questions being raised over why mothers feel pressured into getting back into shape so quickly.
Kate Middleton was widely praised for showing off her bump the day after she gave birth to baby George.
And actress Hilary Duff made a point of keeping a healthy attitude towards her post baby body.
'I am working out and I am trying not to obsess. Everyone wants their body back, but all in time. It took nine months to get there and so hopefully, it won’t take that long to get it off, but I’m doing it slowly.'
