She gave birth to her first child four months ago and Alesha Dixon has admitted that she’s not in any rush to shift all of her baby weight.

The singer, 35, has refreshingly been focusing on bonding with daughter Azura Sienna rather than obsessing over getting back to her pre-pregnancy size.

Speaking to a UK newspaper, Alesha said: “Truthfully (I’ve been under no pressure) not at all. With me I’m the sort of person, I don’t fight what’s natural; I’ve just gone with the flow and not put any pressure eon myself.”

Alesha, who is a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, says that she doesn’t expect any special treatment for returning to work so soon after giving birth as so many new mothers do it.

She said: “It’s a blessing to come to work. My baby’s only four months old so I’m adjusting to working as a mum. But millions of women do it every day and I’m no different so I’m just taking it in my stride.”

And Alesha – formerly a member of UK garage girl group Mis-Teeq – hopes to get her solo music career back on track so Azura can see her mum performing.

She said: “I think whatever decisions I make I’ll always have her in the back of my mind now. But I’m still ambitious for myself.

“I’d like my daughter to see me doing what I do, see her mum on stage, so I need to get my arse back in the studio and make some records.”

Alesha also admitted that having a baby has given her a much needed boost in terms of work, saying: “I’ve got my hunger back again, which I think was put on hold for a little while.

“I’m feeling fired up again for music. I miss being on stage. That’s where I believe I should be.”
