During an episode titled 'A Surprise Engagement Pt. 1', which aired on E! on 9th February, Kim Kardashian, 33, was spotted wearing her 15-carat engagement ring - a full week before the next episode when Kanye West actually proposes.

The scenes, which were picked up over at US site Radar Online, featured Kim putting away baby clothes for daughter North, all while her sisters Khloe and Kourtney secretly talked about how annoying and judgemental Kim had become — using the codename Nancy.

During the same episode, Kris Jenner was chatting on the phone to an associate of Kanye, who asked for her help in gathering the family together for the surprise proposal.

So does that mean the entire engagement, complete with 50-piece orchestra and fireworks, was a sham because the two were already engaged?

Or was it just poor editing on the part of the post-production team who stitched footage from after the engagement into footage from before?

It would not be the first time KUWTK has been accused of faking scenes; producer Russell Jay was forced to testify last year in a 165-page deposition obtained by US site Radar Online, that at least two scenes were “scripted, reshot or edited” to make Kris Humphries look like the villain after Kim decided she wanted a divorce.
