The schoolboy watched a drunk man walk onto a frozen lake and drown when he fell through the ice - but instead of trying to rescue him, he simply filmed the drama and calmly walked away from the scene.

And now he has posted the shocking image on the internet.

In the last part of video, which was apparently filmed on a mobile phone, the boy can be heard saying matter-of-factly: "That's it, the man is certainly dead."

Moscow police have since recovered the body of the man who slipped through the ice, but have yet to identify the young boy who stood by and watched him die.

While many have suggested that the youngster did the right thing standing back and not risking his own life by stepping out onto the ice, others have questioned why he felt the need to film the man's last moments.

The fact that he hid the camera from other people who were rushing to the aid of the man suggests that he realised what he was doing was wrong.
