Following her split from husband of 13 years Kevin Jenkins, it was reported this week that Danniella’s partying was starting to cause concern for those around her.
But now it seems that former Eastenders star Danniella, 40, is trying to put everything behind her by getting engaged to Tom, 24, after being together for just eight weeks.
A source told a UK newspaper: “The proposal took Danniella by surprise. She’s over the moon. They booked a romantic break to Palma in Spain and Tom thought it was the perfect opportunity to show her how much she meant to him.
“It was a beautiful proposal as he went down on one knee by the pool as the sun was setting. Danniella instantly said yes and burst into tears.”
Although she has yet to officially confirm the engagement, Danniella later tweeted: “Feel like the luckiest lady in the world right now. I think I’ve found my forver x.”
They might be engaged but the wedding will have to wait as Danniella is still married to Kevin, who she split from in January this year.
She and Tom met in March at a nightclub in Epping, Essex. At the time, a friend said: “He’s younger but they have lots of fun. She’s told friends and even declared on Facebook they’re in a relationship.”
The source added: “She’s had a difficult few months but Tom put a smile back on her face. She can’t wait to get back to the UK and show off her diamond ring.”
