The Geordie singer, 30, is said think that 33-year-old Kim would be perfect to mentor the contestants, as she knows how to deal with fame.
A source told a UK newspaper: “Cheryl’s been busy convincing Simon that while Kim isn’t a singer, she’d be a great mentor because she knows how to deal with fame.”
If the rumours are true, it would seem Simon won’t take much persuading as he has given Cheryl free reign to pick whoever she wants to work on the show.
“The idea is that Kim would fly over and give special media training to the acts towards the end of the show,” the source added.
But Cheryl isn’t giving the job to Kim for free. Just like when Beyonce performed with her contestant Alexandra Burke in 2008 final, seemingly giving her the winning push, Cheryl wants Kim to endorse her acts.
“Cheryl is desperate to win this year. She feels like she has something to prove to Simon and the British public,” the source said.
Cheryl has a very public friendship with the Kardashians. Kim’s sister Khloe posted a picture of Cheryl earlier this year, with the caption: “Sometimes you meet people and you click instantly.
“Her beauty is more than skin deep. I love this woman’s spirit.”
