'I used to be like a lot of men who have this notion that mothers who stay home with the kids all day are either not pulling their weight, or just sitting around doing nothing the entire day,' wrote blogger Daddy Fishkins.

He admitted that he would get agitated with his wife when things around the house weren't done, and jealous that she could sit around watching TV all day.

But after his wife went back to work, the blogger was the one who stayed at home to look after the children, and wrote a hilarious account of his experiences.

Within his home-parenting schedule, he details the common difficulties of having young children, such as trying to get some work done as: 'My 18 month old is now eating chicken nuggets and drinking juice while sitting on my head.'

'It's not easy. In fact it's the hardest job I've ever had'

In a touching note, the father issues this statement: 'I sincerely apologise to any and every woman I've ever said anything negative about, or joked about in regards to being stay at home mom. It's not easy. In fact it's the hardest job I've ever had.'
