This video shows how to achieve the smoky eye look with minimum fuss and effort, which is great when you’re on the run.

Justine says: “The ‘Smoky Eye’ is perfect for when you are running out of the office to meet some friends and need to smarten up.

“The colours I chose are inspired by the deep chocolate browns, milky swirls and the frothy textures in the chilled skinny cappuccino.”

Here’s how you get the look:

Apply a base to the skin. Use a pallet so all the colours blend together well and start with your first, patting onto the eyelid and slightly up into the socket line.

Blend out towards the outer corner of the eye. Trace the same colour on the lower lash line, taking it right from the inner corner to the outer of the eye.

Next, pick a slightly darker colour, which will help to contour the eye. Apply this to the outer corner only, gently into the socket line. Use a blending brush to blend the two colours together.

For the next colour, chose one much lighter which will add some lift to the eye and pat this onto the brow bone.

Take a dark pencil and massage it into the lashes, before blending it in. then put the same colour onto the water line. Finish up with a bit of mascara and balance the smoky eyes out by filling your eyebrows in.
