Becca- who plays Kitty Wilde in the hit TV show- had been on a night out with boyfriend Matt Bendik, but his body was found by a maid in their hotel room just hours later.

The circumstances surrounding the 35-year –old’s death are not known, but the Philadelphia Medical Examiner confirmed that the night club manager’s body had been found.

Friends told TMZ that Matt was ‘not a known partier’ and his loved ones are said to be distraught over his death.

The news comes just a year after Becca’s co-star Lea Michele tragically lost boyfriend Cory Monteith.

The 31-year-old was found dead in a Vancouver after suffering an overdose of heroin.

The Glee actor had previously struggled with drug addiction, but at the time of his death it was thought he had won the battle against his demons, making his passing even more shocking.

The anniversary of Cory’s death is this weekend, and a source close to Lea says she will mark the occasion in private.

“She is going to make a mention of it on Twitter and Instagram but for most of the day she is going to mourn on her own time and keep her thoughts and feelings to herself,” they said.
