Loom band dress maker’s £170K deal is off after eBay buyer pulls out!

Incredibly, within weeks, the dress – which is made up of 24,000 bands – had a final bid worth £170K, leaving Kathryn and Helen believing they were quids in.

However it turns out the final bidder, believed to be a woman from Surrey, has now pulled out because she decided she couldn’t afford to splash thousands on the outfit.

Luckily, Kathryn, from Prestatyn, in Wales, who’d hoped to buy her son driving lessons for both her son and daughter with the profit, has been allowed to put the item back on Ebay and now hopes the same won’t happen again.

“I've whittled it down to six buyers who all put in bids over the £150,000 mark,” she told a newspaper.

“eBay have said if we re-list the dress we will be able to vet the bidders next time. I might try it for three days this time but it's a lucky dip from now on.”
