She told host Jimmy Fallon: “I would love to get back together. I’m the one who keeps on saying it, so if I say it enough it might actually happen again.”

The last time all five girls performed together was at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony in London.

Meanwhile, Mel has reportedly been warned by X Factor bosses to curb her partying ahead of the judge’s houses round.

A source told The Sun: “Bosses have decided to send Mel to Cancun. She loves a good party and Cancun certainly has that reputation.

“But her contestants will be told they must behave themselves before they get on their flight - and Mel too of course.”

Mel is also trying to sort things out with her mum and sister, after they fell out over her marriage to Stephen Belafonte. She reportedly doesn’t want the family row to get in the way of how well her career is going right now.

“It has crossed Mel’s mind that there’s going to be a lot more attention on her once the X Factor properly kicks off. And the last thing she needs will be having family members airing her dirty laundry in public,” an insider told the Daily Star.
