Taking to the social network on Sunday, Pistorius posted a series of messages to his 350,000 followers, including a collage of him and amputee children.
Alongside the photos was the message: 'You have the ability to make a difference in someones life. Sometimes it's the simple things you do or say that can make someone feel better or inspire them.'

Later, the athlete dubbed bladerunner posted a picture of a book passage, that included the lines: 'The salvation of man is through love and in love. I understood how a man who has nothing left in this work still may know bliss, be it only for a brief moment, in the contemplation of his beloved.'
The 27-year-old also revealed his religious side, posting a picture of a lake with the worlds 'Lord, today I ask that you bathe those who live in pain in the river of your healing. Amen,' emblazoned across it.
Pistorius has been on trial for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, since March. The trial has now adjourned until August, when the prosecution and defence will present their final arguments before the judge makes her decision.
Media coverage has recently focused on the idea of there being two Oscars - one a scared, vulnerable disabled person, the other - a strong athlete achieving physical perfection.
And despite the star having thousands of fans around the world, criminologists have spoken of how difficult it is to see things Oscar's way (that he shot his girlfriend by accident), and many feel like the athlete will be found guilty of murder when the trial resumes in August.
