WATCH: Man locks himself in car to show parents why leaving children in hot vehicles is dangerous

A man sickened by stories of children being left to die in hot cars has made a frightening warning video for parents - and it's a must watch

Terry Williams sat in his car with the windows up when it was almost 90 degrees outside and filmed what happened before posting the clip on YouTube.

"I can barely breathe out here. But my system is stronger than these little kids' systems"

In his video, Mr Williams says: "I'm sitting in the car with the windows rolled up cause I want to know how it feels to be left in the car.

"I would never leave my kids in a car like this, man."

"As you can see, I'm sweating - like, I can barely breathe out here. But my system is stronger than these little kids' systems."

Mr Williams, from Greensboro, North Carolina, adds: "This is not a game. This is serious. Don't be the next fool on the damn news talking about you left your kids in the back seat."

Experts have warned that temperatures can soar inside a closed car, quickly rising by as much as 20 degrees.

This makes it extremely unsafe for anyone, especially young children and pets, to be left inside.

Meanwhile Justin Ross Harris faces execution after being accused of murdering his 22-month-old son by deliberately strapping hum in the back of his car and baking him to death in Atlanta, Georgia.
