The 40-year-old spoke via video link from LA, where she is currently receiving treatment for drug addiction following her recent cocaine use and relapse.
“I think a lot of it was to do with the end of my marriage…” she said. Danniella then struggled to retain her composure as her voice broke, breaking down in tears.

Luckily, presenters Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langford reassured her that there were plenty of messages of love being sent in from viewers, encouraging her to carry on with the interview.
Danniella admitted: “The past six years… I haven’t been to meetings… I haven’t been in therapy…”
“I’ve just resigned myself to the fact I’m always going to need help,” she said.
“I need to be in America, ” the former Eastenders actress said, adding that she had previously beaten her drug demons during a course of rehab in Arizona back in 2001.
The actress recently split with toy boy lover Tom Richards after tragically miscarrying their baby, adding to her troubles.
