Simon, 54, and partner Lauren Silverman, 37, welcomed their first child together in February – and it’s clear the X Factor judge just loves being a dad.

In the picture he is holding little Eric, and they are both wearing a pair of Simon’s trademark Ray Ban aviator sunglasses.

The music mogul captioned the snap: “Taking after daddy.”

It seems that Simon loves parenthood so much that he wants every one to join the baby club.

He recently revealed that he thinks Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will be next, after he told her how great things with Eric had been.

Simon told the Daily Star: “I have told her how great parenting is. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the next one to start a family.”

Speaking previously, Simon admitted that Eric does watch his shows and that he ‘likes all the [acts] I like.’

He said: “Eric watches at home. He’s been down. He watches the dress rehearsal and then he goes home and watches the live shows.”

But Simon did insist he wouldn’t let Eric audition for the X Factor – unless he could sing.
