The video, which appears to have been filmed in secret on the boy's phone, captures the moment his family gave him two options: attend a 'Pray The Gay Away' intervention, or face being disowned by the very people who are supposed to love him unconditionally.
"I can't let people believe that I condone what you do"
While not much can be seen in the 5:10 minute clip, the audio is enough to send shivers down any loving parent's spine.

A female relative begins by saying: "I want to tell you before I say anything else that I love you… and I have known that you were gay since you were a tiny little boy.
However, while it seems as if she is offering her acceptance, she quickly changes tact and accuses the young man of 'choosing' to be gay.
When he protests that it was not a choice, she responds: "No, you can deny it all you want to. But I believe in the word of God and God creates nobody that way. It is a path that you have chosen."
However, when the boy protests, things spiral quickly out of hand, as the mother flies at her son and hits him.
She screams: "You're full of s**t… you told me on the phone that you made that choice. You know you wasn't born that way, you know damn well and good that you made a choice.
"Don't full these people full of bulls**t… I'll beat you!"

The teen, who had maintained his calm throughout the confrontation, sounds distressed as he asks: "What is wrong with you people?"
His father's cold response is simply: "What is wrong with you?
"You're a disgrace."
