Xiao Lin, 27, was at home watching TV when she heard a knock at the door.

She later told her husband, Xiao Luo, 28, that she had gone to see who was there when someone someone kicked the door violently, knocking her in the head and causing her to fall to the ground.

Before she could get up, a bag was placed over her head, and she was stripped and tied up.

Her husband told local media: "She thought maybe it was a sex attacker but it was something much worse.

"The attacker cut off her breasts with a pair of scissors."

After the brutal attack, Xiao's hood was pulled away from her eyes - revealing the face of her attacker, an ex-colleague named Meng Tsao.

When police arrested Tsao, she confessed to mutilating Xiao, insisting it was because the other woman had 'stolen' her husband.

However, when they spoke to Tsao's ex-husband about her extraordinary claims, he denied that he had ever conducted an affair with Xiao Lin.

He did, however, have a crush on her - but said she had turned him down.

The estranged husband added that he had once told his jealous wife that he found Xiao Lin attractive, so when he decided to file for divorce at a later date, she became convinced that Xiao was to blame and plotted revenge.

Meng Tsao has been arrested, while Xiao Lin was rushed to hospital, where medics told her it was impossible to reattach her severed breasts.
