Celebrity Big Brother contestant Claire King was rushed to hospital yesterday following a health scare. The Emmerdale actress – who's best known for playing Kim Tate in the soap – had reportedly told show bosses she was feeling sick before being taken to a nearby hospital at 1pm on Sunday.

A Channel 5 spokesperson confirmed shortly afterwards: "Due to ill health Claire has had to leave the Big Brother house to receive medical attention." And it is now unclear whether Claire will return to the reality series.

Claire has been fairly quiet in the house since the show started two weeks ago. And speaking about eviction night with former housemate David McIntosh last week, the star revealed: "I wouldn't like to go first. It's a win-win though as you can go home and eat steak."
