The Oscar winning actress’s publicist released a statement after several intimate pictures were shared online by a ‘mass hacker’, who has listed the names of 101 of his celebrity victims online.
The statement warned: "The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
According to reports, the hacker was attempting to share the photos in exchange for Bitcoins.

Fans of Jennifer took to social media to support the 24-year-old actress, with one Twitter user writing: "I really feel sorry for Jennifer Lawrence."
Perez Hilton removed the photos from his site before writing on Facebook: “Upon further reflection and just sitting with my actions, I don't feel comfortable even keeping the censored photos up. I am removing them.
“At work we often have to make quick decisions. I made a really bad one today and then made it worse. I feel awful and am truly sorry.”
Buzzfeed reported that the pictures were retrieved due to an iCloud leak, allowing private, intimate pictures to be stolen from celebrities’ phones.
Other celebrities included on the list are Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Kate Upton, Hilary Duff and The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco.

Twitter has announced that they plan to suspend the accounts of any users who attempt to share the stolen images.
