Only Fools And Horses star Roy Heather dies aged 79

Roy Heather was a familiar face on British television, but fans, perhaps, knew him best as Sid in hit comedy show Only Fools And Horses.

And his fans have flocked to Twitter to pay their respects.

Roy began his career in theatre and landed his TV break in 1982 with a part in jungle-based comedy It Ain't Half Hot Mum before going on to rack up an impressive roster of credits on top British sitcoms including Bread, Hi-de-Hi!, Bottom, Just Good Friends, Time Gentlemen Please, Only Fools And Horses, and Birds of a Feather.

He also appeared in popular dramas such as The Bill, Poirot, Casualty, and London's Burning.

Roy Heather passed away on 3rd September in Hampshire, England; the cause of death remains unconfirmed at this time.
