Emma Bond, 24, took an intimate snap of herself breastfeeding her newborn daughter Carene in an effort to share her memories with friends and family on Facebook.
The image went viral when Emma shared it in a pro-breastfeeding group, receiving over 22,000 shares.
Other breastfeeding mums were outraged when they found that their links had been deleted.
The social networking site deleted the photo as it "didn't follow the Facebook Community Standards regarding nudity."
Emma was left particularly upset considering that her daughter was very poorly after arriving so prematurely.
The young mother and her partner were told that they could lose their daughter, but thankfully she pulled through.

The picture served as a reminder of Carene and Emma’s journey, and she was disappointed when Facebook appeared to take offence over the image.
She told The Mirror: "Carene is very poorly and we fought very hard to get to this point. I was upset when it was reported. It is something very natural and special and should be promoted."
