Virgin plans to be the first company to launch ‘space tourism’ with many major film stars and celebrities set to travel on Virgin Galactic’s first flight.
The project has now been put into question after a person was killed when one of the company’s spaceships crashed in California.

Another person has reportedly also been seriously injured during the test flight, which took place north of Los Angeles.
The company described the crash as a ‘serious anomaly’ before realising the extent of the pilots’ injuries.
A photographer at the scene told NBC news that he saw an explosion ‘high in the air’ before seeing two spaceship debris in the desert.
A spokesman for the National Transportation and Safety Board said: "We are in the process of collecting information."
Stars such as Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and scientists Stephen Hawking allegedly have tickets to fly on Virgin Galactic’s first commercial spaceship.
A news conference detailing the crash has been scheduled for 10pm GMT.
The crash comes just days after a cargo space shuttle carrying equipment and supplies for the international space station exploded during take off.
