Woman with two wombs gives birth to miracle baby

A woman with two wombs has given birth to a healthy baby girl, despite the odds of her ever conceiving.

Jane Woodhead, who has uterus didelphys, was told she’d only ever be able to conceive via IVF due to her rare condition.

But the 40-year-old has beaten the odds, and conceived naturally with her partner Paul Herridge.

‘It was unbelievable’ said Jane. ‘I had been feeling unwell for a few weeks so I went to the doctor and she said she would test my urine.’

‘I told her there was no need as I couldn’t possibly be pregnant and then she came back and told me it was positive. It felt unreal and I was over the moon.’

Miracle baby Grace was born three months ago, and parents Paul and Jane have been doting on her ever since.

‘I still stare at her for hours even now 12 weeks after she was born’ said Jane. ‘I can’t believe she is really mine.’
