Angered by his request, the relative of the little boy grabbed a blunt kitchen knife and cut his penis off with it, then fled before the child’s mother returned.

‘Qiang Qiang had fainted and was lying in a pool of blood. Next to him was a knife and his penis. It was simply horrific,’ she described.

Luckily for the infant, surgeons were able to reattach his penis, although the knife used was both dirty and blunt, so he had to undergo further treatment.

After three surgeries, hospital staff are confident the infant will have a fully functioning appendage.

His aunt has been arrested and faces five years in prison for the horrific attack.
