She told Now magazine: "I was spat on and pushed down flights of stairs. I was attacked by gangs of 30 kids every night.

"Someone tried to push me out of a second floor [window] and when I was 13, I was doused in petrol.

"The headmaster saw what was going on before the bullies set light to me. The police were called but because they were teenagers they only received cautions."

She added: "The bullying has come in useful. People tell me to kill myself and call me a tart and a bitch, but I don't feel anything anymore.

"Only being told I'm a terrible mum hurts. I'd be lost without my kids.

"I've written her a letter for when she's older to explain and hopefully she'll understand what I've done to support her."
