Former CBB star Kellie Maloney, who had gone under the knife to make her face more feminine, was left fighting for her life in intensive care following the procedure after complications arose.
Despite feeling she looked "like Frankestein's monster", the traumatised transsexual bravely revealed her swollen face to the public via the Sunday Mirror, where she revealed that heavy internal bleeding caused her head to swell to twice its size.
Speaking about her ordeal, she said: “I was bleeding out of my eyes and I was in unimaginable pain.
“Then I just felt my head inflating like a balloon. It was getting bigger and bigger by the second, I could hardly see. I feared it was going to explode.”
But, despite the seriousness of it all, Katie Hopkins still felt the need to mock Kellie over her ordeal.
Taking to Twitter, she shared a graphic photo of Kellie's post-op face, writing: "I don't care what you say, Kellie Maloney is looking blinding."
Fans responded in horror, branding the former Apprentice contestant as a 'vile scumbag'.
One wrote: "You're a disgrace of a woman. I don't think you have a heart - why the hell would you use that poor person to get yourself attention? You're sick."
Another asked: "Does it make you sleep better at night the more u c**t people off?
"Seriously, where's all this bitterness towards everyone come from?"
Kellie, who has three children, spent four days unconscious in intensive care, breathing only with the aid of specialist equipment, while medics carried out round-the-clock checks.
She faces months of check-ups following the intense trauma and has been warned against having further cosmetic surgery in the future.
