Hear’Say were short-lived, splitting in 2002, but Kym turned to acting and scored a role on Coronation Street.
However it seems her eldest daughter Emily has her eyes on a music career now. She auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent last year, but failed to make it to the finals.
Determined mum Kym has now taken it upon herself to ensure that Emily’s next crack at fame is successful.

After getting through the try-outs of The Voice, Emily is receiving singing lessons from Kym to make sure that she wows during the blind auditions.
A source told The Sun: “She is determined to make it in the world of pop and she couldn’t have a better qualified coach than her mum, because she’s been there and done it.”
Kym enjoyed moderate success with Hear’Say, with their debut single Pure and Simple going straight to number one upon realise in 2001, selling just under 550,000 copies.
Their next single gave them their second consecutive number one, but the success wasn’t enough to keep the group together.
In January 2002 Kym announced she was leaving the band, citing infighting as the reason.
