This video of two baby wallabies meeting for the first time is almost too cute to handle.

One of the caretakers at Daintree Wonder Tours in Australia brought the two babies together and captured the moment on film.

The joeys, called Gough and Salvador, hit it off straight away, smelling and kissing each other.

Gough and Salvador were fostered, but they were lucky to be found by the caretakers.

In Australia, despite the fact kangaroos and wallabies are protected by law, it is possible to obtain a permit to shoot them for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Many are shot in the neck or chest, which causes them to die slowly and painfully. Sadly if a mother who is killed has a joey in her pouch, it will also die as it can’t look after itself.

But it looks like these happy and adorable youngsters are going to be great friends, doesn’t it?
