Clueless actress Stacey Dash suggests rape victims are ‘bad girls who like to be naughty’

Stacey Dash has sparked outrage by seemingly suggesting that rape victims bring sexual assault on themselves.

The 48-year-old actress was appearing on US chat show Outnumbered to discuss some female university students in the US being told to avoid parties and drinking to rule out sexual attacks.

After initially insisting the situation was 'ridiculous', Stacey said: 'I think it's a goof thing for the good girls to stay home, be safe.

"The other girls – bad women – are the ones who like to be naughty, might go out and play and get hurt and then, you know…

"But the other thing about this is that it then blames alcohol instead of the person who over-drinks. So it's like, the same thing with guns. Guns don't kill people. Alcohol doesn't get you drink, you get yourself drunk."

Unsurprisingly Twitter users were quick to blast Stacey for her comments, with many suggesting she was victim blaming.

One user wrote: "Stacey Dash is an ass and no one should listen to her ever again. Her rape victim comment was unacceptable."

Another said: "So Stacey Dash is a rape apologist. I missed the part in Clueless where the girls were raped but 'asking for it' as they went to a party."

"Really tried it w/the 'guns don't kill ppl' rhetoric. Apparently rapists don't rape women, women rape themselves. Appalled," added another.
