Loredana Chivu, then 18, appeared in the Romanian version of the magazine, but when her father found out he reacted in the worst way possible.
When her dad hit rock bottom, cutting himself off from the world, Loredana thought he'd get over it.
She told the Mirror: "I never expected he would do something like kill himself."
He refused to speak to her after seeing the photos, and when Loredana tried to make things up with him months later she found him dead.
She said: "I found him hanging from a beam in the attic. I never recovered from the shock of finding him."
Because she never got to speak to him after the photos were published, Loredana admitted she now lives in guilt, wondering if her dad took his own life because of them.
"He had not left a suicide note, and everybody said that up to the end he seemed cheerful, and it was a complete mystery as to why he would do something like this," she continued.
"One of the worst things is not knowing – he didn't seem to have any pressing problems at the time apart from our argument and I never would have thought he was a weak man who would take his own life."
