That's right; Lucy Beale is going to be back on our screens again this February - for EastEnders' vfirst-ever flashback episode.

The 30-minute show will retrace the events of that fateful Good Friday 2014 episode to reveal who killed Hetti Bywater's character – and why they did it.

It forms a key part of the soap’s 30th anniversary in February, which culminates in a live episode - and Lucy isn't the only one returning to Albert Square.

Jamie Lomas, who played Jake Stone, and Tanya Franks, who plays Rainie Cross, will also be back.

As viewers will remember, Jake was one of the last to see Lucy alive - albeit in a drunken state - and rug-addled prostitute Rainie provided Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) with an alibi.

Hetti said it was “great to be part of the conclusion” while Jamie declared it “an honour and a privilege”.

Tanya added: “It’s fab to be back.”

Show boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins teased the episode as the "pearl" of the 30th anniversary celebrations.

He added: “You’ll find out who did it.

“We’re being really ambitious. I’ll either be very happy or never work again! Everyone is terrified and excited. You already know that Barbara Windsor is coming back as Peggy Mitchell, which is amazing.

"And there’s an amazing scene between Peggy and Mick [Danny Dyer]. It’s got them both very, very excited!"

We can't wait!
