In her latest Twitter blast, the mum of five posted a distorted picture of Jane with a caption: 'Whoops jane poutney from storrington who had sex 4 10 months behind my back whilst I was pregnant don't trust her.'
But insiders say pals have warned Katie to stay silent about Jane – who has so far remained silent on the scandal – insisting if pushed to the extreme, she may go public and expose the former glamour girl's darkest secrets.
A source says: "Katie's inner circle have told her to stop goading Jane because she's pushing her to the edge. Katie wants to be in complete control of her public persona, but Jane is one of the few who knows her inside out and is the keeper of all her secrets. She's been by Katie's side since she was 15 years old and pals think she could destroy her carefully managed image."
