TLC reach Kickstarter goal for new album – with help from Katy Perry
TLC members Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas and Tionna ’T-Boz’ Watkins have expressed their thanks at reaching the Kickstarter goal to fund their fifth album.
Chilli, 43, and 44-year-old T-Boz originally set a goal of $150,000 but this was surpassed in just four days.
Speaking to Yahoo music, Chilli said: “We feel highly favoured and blessed and loved. It makes us feel good that these people believe in us and know this can happen.”
Katy Perry was amongst those who pledged to the band’s fund. She added $5,000, and T-Boz said: “I’m a fan of her writing and her music. You do a campaign like this, so it’s just heart warming to know that you are supported by your peers.”
TLC’s plans for a new album comes after a 13 year absence. It will be their first album recoded as a two-piece, following the death of Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopez in 2002.
Ciara on post-baby work outs: “I was like a zombie”
Ciara took to the red carpet this week to show off her post-baby body – and she looks amazing!
The 29-year-old recently gave birth to her first child, and admitted her body didn’t just snap back to normal.
She told US weekly: “I had to wait six weeks after I gave birth to my son, and as soon as the doctor said, ‘You can go [to the gym]’, I went!
“I trained two times a day. I had a meal plan delivered to my door every day, where it was about the good carbs and the good fibres. I just went hard for it. I literally was like a zombie.”
But the hard work outs weren’t just to look good: for Ciara, it was about feeling good, too.
She said: “After you have your baby, you feel so proud – I just felt like I could conquer anything after that.”

LeAnn Rimes’ reality show cancelled after one season
LeAnn Rimes’ reality show has been axed after just one season, it has been confirmed.
The singer starred in the show with her husband Eddie Cibrian. After attracting a fair amount of controversy, both being married when they met, LeAnn and Eddie hoped to change public perception of them with the show.
VH1, who aired the show, confirmed the news this week.
Speaking previously, LeAnn said: “People have been using our lives for entertainment for so long, we wanted to be able to really show who we are as human beings.”
Much of the show focused on LeAnn and Eddie’s feud with his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville.
