The 31-year-old said that by taking daughter North West to Paris Fashion Week, 34-year-old Kim was essentially treating her like an accessory.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Chantelle insisted she wasn’t surprised by 20-month-old North’s tantrum. She said: “I thought, ‘well, what do you expect?’
“Why would you take a 20-month-old child to a catwalk show? It’s not exactly kid-friendly! It’s like she’s a fashion accessory herself. Kids should be at the park, not surrounded by fashionistas.”
Chantelle, mum to daughter Dolly, expressed her disapproval for the bulletproof vest North was dressed in while at the shows.
She said: “I think Kim should take a leaf out of her sister Kourtney’s book, as she appears to dote on her kids.
“The bulletproof vest was a step too far – she’s a little girl, not a gangster.”
While Chantelle is not surprised North was uncomfortable at the fashion show, Kanye West, 37, had a very interesting theory behind his daughter’s tears.
He told i-D: “Maybe she was just scared for her daddy. She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place.”
