Josie Cunningham left fans concerned when, after a three-day hiatus from Twitter, returned to post an emotional and cryptic message.

She wrote simply: "A leopard never changes his spots."

Josie accompanied the strange message with two 'cry face' emoticons, suggesting that she has been left upset recently.

While plenty of the 24-year-old's followers were quick to ask her what was wrong, the usually vocal Twitter user remained strangely silent about her new predicament.

However many suggested she could have been speaking about her husband-to-be Andrew Goy, whom she became engaged to in over the Christmas period last year.

Andrew Goy, it was revealed at the time, was sentenced to 21 months in prison in 2007 after admitting to a charge of GBH for attacking his then-girlfriend when he discovered another man in their bedroom.

The 33-year-old, who was addicted to steroids at the time, punched the woman so many times that she broke her jaw and cheek she suffered fractures, the Nottingham Post reported.

A representative for Miss Cunningham told MailOnline that Goy has 'turned his life around' since leaving jail.

He said: "It’s important to stress that since leaving prison in 2009, Andy has taken every opportunity to turn his life around, and this is without doubt the happiest Josie has been in a very long time."
