The 35-year-old and Scott, 31, have been together since 2006, and have three children together, but it’s been alleged Kourtney is tired of Scott not paying his own way.
US reports suggest that Scott relies heavily on Kourtney when it comes to money, and she’s had enough.
A source told Life & Style magazine: “Even though they’re not married, this could be one of the messiest and most expensive splits ever.
“He never uses his own cash. Even when he buys his kids expensive things, he charges it on credit cards that Kourtney pays for.”
The Kardashian insider claimed that the split could result in a $50 million court battle which will involve the custody of son Mason, five, daughter Penelope, two and baby boy Reign Aston, four months.
“He will fight for join custody of the kids – which basically means he wants to continue to get paid… Scott will hire the top lawyers in LA to take as much of Kourtney’s wealth as he possible can,” the source continued.
For Kourtney the heavily priced court battle is said to be the only option, even though the idea of losing even partial custody of her children kills her.
The source added: “Losing partial custody of her children is terrifying for Kourtney. But if she also has to continue paying for Scott and his antics, too, it would be the end of her world.”
