David Beckham posts adorable birthday message to ‘big boy’ Brooklyn; click to see!

Brooklyn turned 16 today, and of course dad David, 39, didn’t forget.

The retired footballer posted two pictures to Facebook, with the caption: “Happy birthday to my big boy xx”

One of the snaps in current, showing the father and son in a tender moment, and the other shows tiny baby Brooklyn on the football pitch with his daddy.

Speaking recently of his son’s birthday plans, David said: “I think [Brooklyn] wants to go for dinner with his friends and he’ll have a separate dinner with his family.

“He’s at the age now when he doesn’t want me to drop him outside the school and things, which I definitely do anyway!”

As you would expect, Brooklyn has been lavished with gifts for his sweet sixteenth – but he received a present from a very unlikely source.

Taking to Instagram this morning, Brooklyn posted a picture of some trainers still in their box.

He wrote: “Thanks Kanye for the yeezys [sic].” As in Kanye West, for anybody who didn’t make the connection.
