The Britain's Got Talent judge has apparently agreed to a trial separation from 31-year-old Lara Stone, just two years after the Calvin Klein model gave birth to their son Alfred.
A source told The Sun: "David has been putting on a brave face.
"But people close to him are very worried because they know he’s devastated."
They added that David Walliams is still hopeful to get the marriage back on track, explaining: “David hopes it is a blip and that they can get the marriage back on track somehow, especially seeing as there is a child involved.
"He is still fiercely protective of Lara.”
The couple, who married in 2010, were last spotted in public together at Sir Elton John's wedding to David Furnish on December 21st.
In January, Lara was involved in a photoshoot with Baby singer Justin Bieber, with the sexually provocative photos sparking controversy.
However David proved to be not just supportive of his wife's career, but was a good sport about it too, retweeting an image of the shoot which had his own head hilariously photoshopped over Bieber's.
Neither of the couple have given any indication that their marriage is in trouble until this point - and their reps have yet to release a statement on these recent split rumours.
