A shocked Vanessa went to see the doctor as Kirin promised to stand by her – but will he?
During tonight’s episode Vanessa, understandably scared, asks Kirin to accompany her to her appointment. He agrees, but later lets her down.
Vanessa then finds out he lied to her – how will this leave things between them?
Speaking to Digital Spy, Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa, said: “We’re focusing on the fact that it is a 17-year-old in love with a woman who could have a really serious condition here.
“Kirin promises that he’ll stick by Vanessa whatever happens, but he then goes out with his friends when she goes for a sleep.
“We don’t see him that night. Vanessa comes downstairs and realises she’s all alone. She also finds out from Rakesh that Kirin has texted to say, ‘Don’t wait up, I’ll be out all night’ – but she’s not had a text herself. Vanessa feels really lonely at that point. On the night when she really needed Kirin the most, he’s not there.”
And viewers won’t find out if Vanessa’s scare is for real until next week.
“Vanessa has a biopsy and then she is waiting for the results,” Michelle continued: “She’s terrified and Rhona says that she should take time off work, but Vanessa wants to keep busy.
“From the time that Vanessa has the biopsy, it’s about five days that she waits for the results.”
