Katie Hopkins and Peaches Geldof famously clashed whilst debating Attachment Parenting on This Morning.

But, while Katie has since admitted that Peaches did seem to win the argument, she has also implied that Peaches was too “over excited” after the cameras stopped rolling.

“After the debate she was really over-excited and thrilled about how it had gone,” Katie explained.

Hinting that the late mother-of-two was on drugs during the clash, she added firmly: “If you’d met her when I met her, you’d know why she died.”

Peaches, who was found dead on April 6th last year, was found to died of a heroin overdose whilst she was looking after her 11-month-old son Phaedra.

The little boy had apparently been in the same house as his mother’s body for 17 hours.

Shortly after her death was made public, Katie slammed Peaches for her behaviour, insisting: "I am sick of hearing all this 'fallen angel' nonsense.

“I am tired of all of the sycophantic fawning about her difficult, moneyed life.

"Celebrity status must not - and cannot - be allowed to excuse dark deeds. A celebrity mum is no less a criminal than a 16-year-old mum from a council estate.”

Writing in her Sun newspaper column, Katie added: "If you choose drugs over your kids, your kids should be taken away.

“If I died of a drug overdose I can guarantee I would not receive the impunity Peaches has been granted."
