TOWIE fans were left shocked and appalled after tapes leaked online revealing Dan Osborne violently threatening his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, Megan Tomlin.
The distressing tapes hear Dan threatening to ‘stab’ Megan if she slept with another man, this despite the TOWIE star recently welcoming a baby daughter with new girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa.
Speaking to new! magazine, Megan said: "If you haven’t experienced it, it’s hard to explain how much a person can get inside your mind and control how you feel.
"I still doubt myself now, but, with the support of my family, I’m slowly regaining my self-esteem, confidence and piecing my life back together – which is why I’d suggest to anyone who may be experiencing a similar situation to talk to someone close to you."
Megan, 22, is speaking out as part of domestic violence charity Refuge’s new campaign, 2Women2Many.
The young mum wants other women to feel strong enough to ask for help with abusive partners.
She explains: “He tried to make me believe that the situation between us was my fault.
"You can hear this on the tape, when Daniel tells me I’ve broken up the family, despite the fact he moved on when I was four months pregnant – causing a considerable amount of strain and stress during such a precious time – only to then return once our son was born and leave again when he was four months old."
Megan was not paid for her comments.
