The father-of-two was in Madrid last night for the opening concert of his new tour, Let Me Entertain You.

And, while Robbie Williams was there to entertain, he also made sure to pay his respects to those who lost their lives in the Germanwings plane crash.

At the end of the concert, he finished with a special performance of Angels, in tribute to all those who died in the tragedy - including 51 Spaniards.

“This is dedicated to the angels who have left us on the Germanwings flight.”

Unsurprisingly, the audience erupted into applause and cheers, before falling into a respectful silence.

Watch the moving performance below:

Following the performance, fans took to Twitter to praise Robbie for taking the time to remember those lost.

One wrote: “Great! Robbie Williams Angels dedicated to victims of the plane crash of #Germanwings”

Another added: “@robbiewilliams dedicated #Angels to the victims of the #4U9525 #Germanwings plane crash at his 1st #LMEY2015 concert. Thanks for that, Rob.”

Earlier today, it was shockingly revealed that the plane crash was caused when the co-pilot locked himself in the cockpit and deliberately smashed the plane into the ground.

Speaking at a press conference, Bryce Robin explained that, when the pilot left the cockpit to go to the bathroom, the co-pilot “used the flight monitoring system which starts the descent of the aeroplane.

"This action... can only be done voluntarily.”

He added: "He had no reason to do this.

"On the recording you literally hear the screams only on the last moments and nothing else.

"When you suicide you normally do it by yourself. When you have 150 people with you, you wouldn't normally call it suicide. That's why I'm not using this word."

Our thoughts are with all of those who lost a loved one in the Germanwings plane crash.
