Victoria Beckham celebrated her 41st birthday yesterday privately in the company of her family and friends, but husband David Beckham made she he publicly acknowledged his wife’s big day in an adorable Facebook post.

The former England captain shared a throwback snap of the couple from 10 years ago. Both are sporting peroxide crops with their arms draped lovingly over one another.

David, 40, wrote alongside the snap: ‘happy birthday wifey’.

The couple were last pictured in public at a Burberry fashion show in Los Angeles with their four children.

Sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10 and daughter Harper, 3, joined their parents at the swanky event.

Victoria’s actress pal Eva Longoria also shared birthday wishes to the former Spice Girl, sharing a picture of the two on Instagram and writing: “Happy Birthday to the most beautiful woman inside and out! Victoria Beckham love u! #HappyBirthdayVB' (sic).”
